• W1362 Ultra-Sweet Crisp Ice Cream is an early specialty melon producing attractive, high-round fruits with smooth creamy-white skin and vivid salmon-orange to pale orange-red flesh. Fruits average approximately 2.6 lb and develop a crisp, refreshing texture with abundant juice. Approximately 80 days from sowing to maturity and about 26 days from fruit set to harvest under favorable growing conditions. Center soluble-solids readings may reach approximately 16–18° Brix, although actual sweetness will vary with temperature, sunlight, irrigation, crop load, and harvest maturity. The compact seed cavity leaves a substantial layer of edible flesh. Serve the melons chilled, sliced fresh, cubed into fruit salads, or paired with yogurt and other summer fruits. Grow in full sun, warm soil, and a fertile, well-drained location.
