U2669 Green-Shouldered Chocolate Tomato, 10 Seeds

Description

- U2669 Green-Shouldered Chocolate is an indeterminate specialty cherry tomato producing attractive oval fruits on branching clusters. The smooth tomatoes average approximately 0.9 oz and mature from green through bronze-red to a rich mahogany or chocolate-brown color. Distinctive olive-green shoulders remain visible at full maturity, creating a layered combination of green, bronze, and deep red tones. Cut fruits reveal red flesh with darker seed cavities and green-tinted gel, adding visual interest to fresh tomato assortments.
- Fully mature fruits offer a juicy texture, pronounced tomato aroma, and a rich, balanced flavor. Soluble solids have measured above 8° Brix under specified growing conditions, although sweetness, acidity, color, and texture may vary with sunlight, temperature, irrigation, maturity, and cultivation practices. The vigorous indeterminate vines continue forming fruit clusters throughout the growing season and require dependable staking, caging, or trellising. This selection is suited to protected cultivation, including greenhouse and high-tunnel production during locally appropriate spring, fall, and winter planting cycles. Harvest when the fruit body has changed from green to bronze-red or chocolate brown while the shoulders remain olive green. These colorful fruits are suitable for fresh snacking, salads, lunch boxes, garnishes, roasting, and mixed tomato displays.
