It blooms in late spring to early summer with small pale purple flowers. This plant thrives in full sun and adapts well to well-drained growing conditions. Cold-hardy and drought-tolerant, it requires almost no regular maintenance. It is commonly used as an edging plant for flower borders and can also be mass-planted to form distinctive ground cover landscapes.
