◆ 1046 Flanders Contrast Tomato was created by Tom Wagner in 2007 and is considered one of the earliest blue pear-type tomatoes. Plants are vigorous, well-developed, and indeterminate, with both regular-leaf and potato-leaf forms known to circulate. Fruits are pear-shaped and weigh about 2.8-6.3 oz. The skin is tricolored, blending green, yellow, and blue anthocyanin tones for a distinctive contrast. The flesh is juicy and green, with a pleasant flavor that is considered good among blue tomato types. Plants are productive from midseason and can continue fruiting until frost.
