• 591 Dwarf DSA is a compact, highly productive dwarf tomato selected in the United States by Brad Gates and associated with the Dwarf Tomato Project. Plants generally reach approximately 2.6 to 4 feet tall, depending on growing conditions, and feature rugose regular foliage. Midseason clusters commonly carry five to six fruits, with individual tomatoes weighing approximately 5.3 to 12.3 oz; exceptional fruits may reach about 17.6 oz under favorable conditions. The oblate fruits ripen from bright orange-yellow to warm orange, decorated with abundant red and deep crimson striping. As they reach full maturity, the overall color becomes noticeably rosier. Inside, the juicy orange flesh has a vivid marmalade-like appearance and a bright central core. The flavor is exceptionally sweet, fruity, and aromatic, with an exotic tropical-fruit character. Fruits hold well on the plant and generally resist cracking when grown under steady moisture. Excellent for slicing, salads, sandwiches, fresh salsa, and colorful tomato platters.
