485 Black Alice Tomato, 5 Seeds

Variety characteristics:

• 485 Black Alice is a midseason, indeterminate tomato selection believed to combine the dark coloration of Black Beauty with the distinctive multicolored appearance of Alice’s Dream. Strong, sturdy vines can reach more than 5.9 feet tall and produce uniform, flattened round fruits weighing approximately 6.3–8.8 oz. The smooth skin ripens to an attractive chocolate-purple, deep mahogany, and near-black color, often accented with golden or coppery highlights that become more visible as the fruit matures. The dense, meaty flesh has a juicy texture, balanced sweetness, and a subtle spicy finish. Fruits hold well on the vine, store reliably after harvest, and show good resistance to cracking. Plants set fruit over a long season and perform best when trained to one or two main stems with sturdy staking or trellising. An excellent specialty tomato for fresh slicing, sandwiches, salads, tasting plates, and colorful heirloom displays.
