48 Minusinsk Apple Tomato, 5 Seeds

Variety characteristics:

• 48 Minusinsk Apple is a vigorous midseason indeterminate tomato originating from the traditional farmer-selected tomato lines of Minusinsk, Russia. The tall, productive vines develop impressive clusters of large, pink to pink-red beefsteaks, typically weighing approximately 10.6–21.2 oz. Under favorable growing conditions, carefully managed plants may produce exceptional fruits approaching or exceeding 2.2 lb. The fruits are predominantly oblate with gently ribbed shoulders, although shape and color can vary somewhat among locally maintained seed lines. Inside, the substantial, meaty flesh is juicy and relatively low in seeds, offering balanced sweetness, rich old-fashioned tomato flavor, and a full, aromatic finish. Plants generally reach approximately 5.9–8.2 feet and require strong staking, caging, or trellising to support the heavy fruit clusters. Train to one or two main stems for improved airflow and larger fruit. An excellent choice for fresh slicing, sandwiches, salads, thick tomato juice, sauces, and impressive heirloom platters.
