342 Marquise Noire Tomato, 5 Seeds

Variety characteristics:

• 342 Marquise Noire is an elegant midseason dark tomato producing large, round to flattened beefsteak fruits commonly reported between approximately 7.1 and 21.2 oz, depending on the seed line and growing conditions. The tomatoes mature from deep green to mahogany brown, chocolate red, and dusky purple-brown, often retaining dark olive shoulders and subtle metallic highlights. Inside, the juicy, meaty flesh combines dark rose and crimson coloring with olive-green gel around the seed cavities. The tender, melting texture delivers gentle sweetness, balanced acidity, and a full-bodied savory tomato flavor with subtle earthy and smoky notes. Vigorous indeterminate plants develop regular foliage and generally reach approximately 4.9 to 5.6 feet tall. Provide sturdy staking or trellising and allow the fruits to soften slightly before harvest for their richest flavor. Excellent for fresh slicing, sandwiches, salads, caprese, tomato carpaccio, roasting, tarts, coulis, sauces, and elegant tomato platters.
