332 Black Bayou Tomato, 5 Seeds

Variety characteristics:

• 332 Black Bayou is a remarkable midseason green-when-ripe anthocyanin tomato producing smooth, round to slightly flattened fruits weighing approximately 2.8 to 4.2 oz in this seed line. As the tomatoes mature, shaded portions of the skin shift from green to olive, ochre-green, and warm bronze, while sun-exposed shoulders and sides deepen to violet, indigo-purple, and nearly solid black. Intensely exposed fruits may become almost completely dark, often retaining a striking green or bronze star beneath the calyx. Inside, the exceptionally juicy emerald-green flesh surrounds darker green seed cavities and delivers pronounced sweetness, exotic kiwi-like fruitiness, and a light savory-spiced finish. Vigorous indeterminate plants average approximately 5.5 feet tall, provide excellent midseason production, and perform well when trained to two or three main stems. Provide a sturdy cage or trellis and retain enough foliage to protect developing fruits during extreme heat. Excellent for fresh slicing, sandwiches, salads, salsa verde, bruschetta, chilled soups, juice, green sauces, and dramatic tomato platters.
