196 Kiwanis Tomato, 5 Seeds

Variety characteristics:

• 196 Kiwanis is a distinctive Belgian midseason indeterminate tomato producing medium-sized fruits typically weighing approximately 5.3–7.1 oz in this selection. Rounded to slightly flattened, occasionally gently heart-shaped fruits ripen to beautiful bronze-gold, ochre, and orange-yellow tones, often retaining olive-green shading around the shoulders. The firm, full, juicy flesh contains relatively few seeds and delivers a mellow sweetness with delicate citrus notes. Developed by a Belgian gardener associated with Les Jardins du Kiwanis from a cross of Orange Queen and Black Krim, this variety is also known as La Kiwanienne. Vigorous plants have regular leaves and benefit from sturdy stakes, cages, or trellising. Enjoy the flavorful fruits fresh in salads, sliced for sandwiches, or arranged on colorful tomato platters.
