1124 Xiangsi Tomato, 5 Seeds

Variety characteristics:

• 1124 Xiangsi is a treasured family heirloom tomato preserved for its distinctive appearance, satisfying flavor, and rewarding harvests. Vigorous indeterminate vines produce large pink to deep rose-pink fruits weighing approximately 5.3–10.6 oz. Fruit shape varies naturally from elongated and slender oxhearts to fuller broad-heart and pear forms, with most tomatoes tapering toward an attractive pointed blossom end. The smooth skin develops a rich, even pink color when fully ripe, while occasional fruits may retain a small green or golden patch near the tip. Grower evaluations describe the flavor as delicious and worthy of continued family seed saving. Provide strong staking, caging, or trellising for the vigorous vines and substantial fruit load. Harvest when the pink color is fully developed and the fruit yields slightly to gentle pressure. Excellent for fresh slicing, sandwiches, salads, roasting, stuffing, sauces, and traditional home-cooked tomato dishes.
