1122 Marmande Chocolate Negro Tomato, 5 Seeds

Variety characteristics:

• 1122 Marmande Chocolate Negro is a vigorous, highly productive indeterminate tomato producing attractive medium-sized fruits weighing approximately 3.9–6.0 oz. The flattened, gently ribbed tomatoes develop exceptionally dark chocolate-brown to nearly black skin, often with darker shoulders and warm red or mahogany tones as they ripen. Fruit color is strongly influenced by sunlight and growing conditions, with the deepest coloration developing under bright, direct light. Inside, the flesh is juicy, meaty, and richly colored, offering a balanced combination of sweetness, mild acidity, and classic dark-tomato flavor. Plants can exceed 5.9 feet in height and continue setting abundant fruit clusters throughout the growing season. Provide sturdy staking, caging, or trellising, and prune to one or two main stems for better airflow and fruit support. Excellent for slicing, sandwiches, salads, fresh platters, and specialty tomato displays.
